Day 1: Sunday June 9th, 2019

Lunch (on your own) at the Cracker Barrel. Stops at the WNC Farmers Market and Dinner (included) at the “MOOSECAFÉ” before arriving at the Clarion Inn & Suites in Fletcher, NC, for a 1 night stay. Evening on your own or take the Courtesy Shuttle to the Sierra Nevada Brewing Company

Day 2: Monday June 10th, 2019

Full Hot Breakfast (included) before departing the hotel to the  North Carolina Arboretum and Botanical Garden – 10-acre wooded enclave near central Asheville, the botanical gardens shelter some 600 species of Appalachian wildflowers, flowering shrubs, and flowering trees.  Then visit Pisgah Center for Wildlife Education – “Mountain streams, where water and life begin” is the theme of this educational facility dedicated to exploring the wonders of North Carolina’s wildlife, garden display, viewing and feeding of trout at the Pisgah Fish Hatchery. Lunch(on your own) at the J & S Cafeteria before arriving in Cherokee, NC for a 3 night stay at the Marriott Fairfield Inn, directly across from the Harrah’s Casino. Dinner included TBA. Evening on your own.

Day 3: Tuesday June 11th, 2019

Full Hot Breakfast at hotel (included), visits to Museum of the Cherokee Indian “Story of the Cherokees called ‘A model for museums’ by Van Romans, Disney Imagineering. This exhibit uses artifacts, artwork, life-sized figures, computer generated animation to tell this story of the Cherokee Indian. Then visit Oconaluftee Indian Village – as you enter the soft trails of the village, it’s no longer the 21st century: you’re immediately transported to the 1760s. Led by a Cherokee cultural expert on an interactive journey through Cherokee lifestyle and history,  Evening at Unto These Hills Drama, America’s most popular outdoor drama. Unto These Hills, is the tragic and triumphant story of the Cherokee Indians. Set against the backdrop of the Great Smoky Mountains in Cherokee, the show is presented in the forest under the stars at the Mountainside Theater. Traditional Dinner included before the show – a mustsee!!!!

Day 4: Wednesday June 12th, 2019

Full Hot Breakfast at Hotel (included). Visits with a step on guide to Mingus Mill, 1886 Grist Mill, Oconaluftee Visitor Center. Step back into history inside the unique Mountain Farm Museum. Walk through a farmstead of structures carefully preserved from the last century, including a log farmhouse, a barn and apple house. Explore and learn how families lived in the past. Head up the mountain to Mount Le Conte in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. At 6,593 ft, it is the third highest peak in the National Park. Arrive in Downtown Gatlinburg with 4 Full Hours on your Own to explore the Beautiful Town (lunch on your own). Return back to Cherokee for dinner. Arrive on the banks of river for a Pricate Bonfire and story-telling to conclude out Sentimental and Historical Journey of the Cherokee Indians. Evening on your own.

Day 5: Thursday June 13th, 2019

Full Hot Breakfast at Hotel (Included). Depart 9:00am from Cherokee to The Famous Chimney Rock before arriving for our Final Night at the 1927 Lake Lure Inn, afternoon on your own before our Guided Boat Tour on Lake Lure (famous for Dirty Dancing) and our Farewell Dinner Included  at the 1927 Inn.

Day 6: Friday June 14th, 2019

Includes: Escorted Tour, Transportation on a New 56-Passenger with Restroom, WiFi, reclining seats and stops every 2 hours for breaks. 5 Hotel Nights, Luggage Handling, taxes and resort fees. 5 Full Hot Breakfast, 5 dinners including gratuity, Unto These Hills outdoor Drama Show, Lake Lure scenic Boat Ride, admissions and visits to, WNC Farmer Market, North Carolina Arboretum and Botanical Gardens, Pisgah Wildlife Center, Mingus Mill, Oconaluftee Visitors center and Indian Village, Chimney Rock, Downtown Gatlinburg, Mount le Conte and Private Bonfire with Storytelling, narrated by a Cherokee Indian.
